Among the oldest of the House of Gondor, but now extinct with the death of its last Lord, its ancient wealth and holdings sought after by claimaints and hopefuls alike. HOUSE EDAINEMYNDON (NPC): A greater House of Belfalas, the House of the Diamond Lords of Minas Elenna. Founded by the gifting of the liegeless valley of Gwalothris to Lady Laurillin, Master Healer of the Prince and formerly of House Cuthalion. HOUSE DAIRAINZIL (NPC): A minor House of Belfalas.

A numerous and highborn kindred found throughout western Gondor, their ruling line dwells in Dol Amroth and the grand keep of Tirith Cobas. HOUSE BRAGOLLACH (Open PC): A greater House of Belfalas, the House of the Sudden Flame. Interplay between the Houses has always been one of the major focuses of RP for players from the Dol Amroth region. The Houses in turn have always maintained their end of the sacred covenant between the noble- and common-born the Houses provide the common folk with justice and safety, and the common folk in return grow the food and provide the labour upon which the Houses are sustained. It is these Houses - whose sons fill out the ranks of the Swan-Knights of Dol Amroth - that dominate the life of Belfalas. Belfalas, being among the mightiest of the fiefs of Gondor, is one especially rich in the blood of Numenor, and many of Gondor's great Houses make their home within Dor-en-Ernil's bounds and give their allegiance to the Princes of House Imrazor. Yet on the whole, the Men of Dol Amroth are much like their kin in other parts of Gondor and desire only peace and to hold true to their oaths.ДЇor the most part the nobility of Gondor is defined by the ancient bloodlines of the Dunedain (the people of sunken Numenor), and it is to these bygone forefathers - the Kings of Men - that most of the Houses of the modern Gondor trace their ancestry. Their sense of pageantry may be seen in the yearly tournaments presided over by the Princes. In other ways their sense of style is shown by the fashion of the city, the aesthetics, and the bards and harpers that dwell there for in Dol Amroth are the finest harpers in all the land. Their tone and tongue are considered old-fashioned. Some of the idiosyncratic tendencies of the people of Dol Amroth can be seen in the way in which they speak. Yet in these latter days, even the House of Imrazor has fallen into decline, but the chivalrous and proud demeanors of the people of Dol Amroth prevail. In their own way, they have dwelt somewhat apart from the other Men of Gondor, often holding themselves in a certain esteem, being entwined with the fate of the Elder race. From that marriage was sprung the Princes of Dol Amroth, and from the days of Galador, the first Prince, it has been held that the kindred thither were of high blood, though Imrazor indeed married only an elf of the Silvan race.ДЄs a result, the most forward of all the noble houses after the line of Stewards are the Princes of Dol Amroth.

These lands, Dor-in-Ernil ('Land of the Prince'), became the possession of the House Imrazor since (as legend holds) he took Mithrellas, one of the Elven-maid Nimrodel's companions, to wife. The Realm of Gondor is divided into many fiefs, and one of the greatest of these fiefs is Belfalas.
